At precisely 11:48 last night, Peter, a college sophmore driving home from a friend's house, nearly ran over a skulk of five foxes.
A mother, father, and three cubs were crossing the road, but panicked when headlights were on them, scurrying in circles.
I was looking at the light ahead, hoping it wouldn't turn red before I got there,
says Peter. I nearly
flew into the windshield, I stopped so hard.
Not only was it such a rare occurence to see a group of foxes on the road, they spent several minutes panicking on the road before they calmed down. But even then, they didn't leave, resting for nearly ten minutes right in the middle of the road! The jam caused by the foxes was nearly a quarter mile long before they finally got up and left.
